Find answers about Slogro lawn care
Why does your approach differ from the more mainstream lawn care services available?
Mainstream lawn services tend to over fertilise family lawns. This means that there is a lot of waste of fertiliser and the growth is typically unmanageable. SloGro slows down the growth of the lawn while creating a stronger shoot and root. This develops an improved lawn that requires less mowing.
How many treatments would my lawn need in a season?
Ideally 5 treatments in a growing season, that is, one every 6 weeks or so between the start of April and the end of October.
Can I purchase the treatments myself?
No, the SloGro treatments are currently only available to the commercial horticultural market in large quantities.
How much might it cost?
Treatments start at just £20 each, depending upon the size of your lawn. We are happy to provide a no-obligation quote, just call us on 0800 9903 063.
Other lawncare providers leave the hollow tine cores on the surface and this makes a mess - do you take them away?
Yes! We do not believe the british climate is right for the cores to be left on the surface to break down, and will always rake them off. We also treat moss at the same time as part of the aeration process as this really helps to give the lawn a good start to the year.
Do you remove the waste cores and scarified material from the garden?
Yes! again, all part of the service. We are fully licensed waste carriers.
Are you insured?
Yes! We're fully covered with public indemnity and employee liability insurance up to £5million.
